Electronics Department Instructor: Mr. Tim Lyons
My name is Mr. Lyons and I teach electronics at the Venango Technology Center. I believe that learning can be fun. In the electronics department, we have implemented a hands on approach to teaching. ARE THERE JOBS IN THIS FIELD!!! Electronics is fun, that is a fact, but students come here to learn a skill. They want to earn a living in this field, and there are many ways. Look at the changes in the electronics field. Does anyone think that technology will stop? Who are the people coming up with all these new gadgets? Look at how far we have come in the last ten years, where will we be 10 years from now? It is hard to imagine! This country needs more people that are trained in the electronics field.
(A representative from Devry Institute told my class in 2002 that there are going to be 2 jobs for every 1 electronic technician/engineer.)
